A software company in Tonypandy that also runs a pizza van. VendorPad is the diary and crew app we needed for it.
The Company
VendorPad is built by Hotline Labs Ltd, a small software company based in Tonypandy, South Wales. David Cooper, who runs it, has been writing software professionally for over twenty years: enterprise systems, SaaS platforms and mobile apps. VendorPad is the first thing we have built for ourselves.
David and his wife Bex also run Welsh Italian Pizza, a mobile catering business that trades at weddings, festivals and markets across South Wales, and they are setting up more street food brands alongside it. That is where we found out how the admin side of running a van with a crew actually goes. Every tool we tried was built for an American photographer with a contract, or needed a laptop nobody opens between serves.
So we put the two halves together, twenty years of building software and the reality of running a van, and started work on VendorPad. The full story, and the six specific problems we kept running into, is on the Why VendorPad page.
We are a registered UK company (No. 11873778). We answer our own emails, and the van is still out most weekends in season.
