How to Use This Template
This invoice template covers everything you need for getting paid after an event. It includes your business details, the client's details, invoice number, service description with itemised costs, subtotal, VAT breakdown (if registered), payment terms, and your bank details or payment link.
Number your invoices sequentially so your records stay tidy — INV-2026-001 works well. Fill in the event date, services provided, and the amount due. If a deposit was already paid, show it as a deduction so the balance is clear.
Send this within 48 hours of the event while everything's fresh. For regular clients like venues or corporate accounts, agree payment terms upfront (14 or 30 days). Keep a copy of every invoice for your tax records — HMRC expects you to hold them for at least five years.
