How to Use This Template
This template helps you plan and track stock orders for upcoming events. It includes columns for ingredient or product name, supplier, unit size, quantity needed, unit cost, total cost, order date, expected delivery date, and a received checkbox. A summary section shows your total stock cost per event and compares it against your budget.
Fill it in once you know your menu and estimated covers. Base quantities on your portion costing — if each pizza uses 250g of dough and you're expecting 100 covers, you need 25kg minimum. Add 10-15% buffer for waste and unexpected demand, but don't over-order perishables. Place orders with enough lead time for your suppliers to deliver.
Good stock management is the difference between a profitable event and a costly one. Over-ordering means waste and reduced margin; under-ordering means running out early and missing revenue. Use this template for every event and review actual usage afterwards to refine your estimates. Over a few months, you'll know your quantities with precision.
